Most of us first meet Yoga through the physical practice. Somewhere along the way, we begin to wonder what lies beneath it.
The Sattva School of Yoga was created for that wonder. A place to study the teachings, put them into practice, and stay in relationship with them over time.
The School is here for those who want to understand Yoga more fully and give Yoga a larger role in their lives.
Ongoing study, mentorship, service and stewardship of Sattva community and culture.
By invitation only following the Teacher Path.

What is this?
A lifelong path of Yoga education, with teacher training as one possible continuation.
Do I have to become a teacher?
Absolutely not.
Where do I start?
Student Path, Practitioner Path, or both.
If I do want to teach, what's required?
Complete Student + Practitioner Paths → apply for Teacher Path → Steward Path may follow.
Why does the Teacher Path cost $4,750?
Because this is a five-month, in-person apprenticeship with a small cohort and close mentorship. You will study with teachers who know you, practice teaching with real people, receive personal feedback, observe experienced teachers, serve within the studio, and learn within the community where your teaching is taking shape. Tuition also includes unlimited Sattva membership throughout the cohort.
Is the Teacher Path a 200-hour Yoga teacher training?
The full journey through the Student, Practitioner, and Teacher Paths contains approximately 200 hours of study and practice. Sattva operates independently of Yoga Alliance, and completion of the Teacher Path leads to certification through The Sattva School of Yoga.
Why is the Teacher Path structured as a five-month apprenticeship?
Learning to teach Yoga requires time to read, study, practice, observe, teach, receive feedback, ask questions, and try again. Five months allows for time to grow through experience and live what you're learning.
What if I complete the prerequisites but can't join the 2027 Teacher cohort?
Your completed Student Workshops and Practitioner Path remain part of your School record. You may apply for a future Teacher cohort when the timing is right.
What if I have to miss part of the Teacher cohort?
Life happens. Students are expected to prioritize the cohort calendar, but an occasional absence does not necessarily prevent completion. Missed requirements must be made up. If you already know you will miss a significant portion of the cohort, please reach out before enrolling.
