Yoga is more than something you practice. It is a way of understanding who you are.

Study the teachings. Establish a practice. Learn to share them. Stay the path.

The Sattva
School of Yoga

beginning fall 2026

Most of us first meet Yoga through the physical practice. Somewhere along the way, we begin to wonder what lies beneath it.

The Sattva School of Yoga was created for that wonder. A place to study the teachings, put them into practice, and stay in relationship with them over time.

The School is here for those who want to understand Yoga more fully and give Yoga a larger role in their lives.

yoga is a lifelong study.

Begin with study, practice, or both.

The Student Path and Practitioner Path each stand on their own. Complete both to continue into the Teacher Path. The Steward Path offers Teacher Path graduates an ongoing relationship with study, mentorship, service, and sangha.

Every Path is optional. Go as far as you are called.

Remain in relationship through ongoing study, mentorship and sangha.

Twelve Questions Worth living

request information
The Teacher Path is a high-touch, five-month apprenticeship for students who feel called to carry the teachings of Yoga forward. Teaching may take the form of leading a Yoga class, or it may simply shape the way you live, serve, and meet the people around you.

The inaugural Teacher Path will be led by Sattva founder Ally Ubiparipovic, with guest teachers contributing throughout the cohort.

Our cohort is small by design. You will spend these months in close relationship with your teachers, your fellow apprentices, the Sattva community, and the teachings themselves. Your education will unfold through study and conversation, personal practice, observation, mentorship, practice teaching, service, and the experience of teaching real students.

This type of learning asks for time together. A mature teacher develops through practice, relationship, feedback, experience, and the willingness to remain a student.

The Teacher Path offers approximately 200 hours of study and practice across the full journey through the School. Sattva operates independently of Yoga Alliance, which gives us the freedom to shape our curriculum around our lineage, our community, and our responsibility to prepare teachers well.

Your apprenticeship includes:

  • 16 Teacher Workshops
  • 16 Class Observations
  • 16 Practice-Teaching Hours
  • 16 Karma Yoga Hours
  • Weekly Mentorship
  • Apprentice Class + Satsang
  • Unlimited Sattva Membership January through May

Teaching As SERVICE

ask a question

What is this?
A lifelong path of Yoga education, with teacher training as one possible continuation.

Do I have to become a teacher?
Absolutely not.

Where do I start?
Student Path, Practitioner Path, or both.

If I do want to teach, what's required?
Complete Student + Practitioner Paths → apply for Teacher Path → Steward Path may follow.

Why does the Teacher Path cost $4,750?
Because this is a five-month, in-person apprenticeship with a small cohort and close mentorship. You will study with teachers who know you, practice teaching with real people, receive personal feedback, observe experienced teachers, serve within the studio, and learn within the community where your teaching is taking shape. Tuition also includes unlimited Sattva membership throughout the cohort.

Is the Teacher Path a 200-hour Yoga teacher training?
The full journey through the Student, Practitioner, and Teacher Paths contains approximately 200 hours of study and practice. Sattva operates independently of Yoga Alliance, and completion of the Teacher Path leads to certification through The Sattva School of Yoga.

Why is the Teacher Path structured as a five-month apprenticeship?
Learning to teach Yoga requires time to read, study, practice, observe, teach, receive feedback, ask questions, and try again. Five months allows for time to grow through experience and live what you're learning.

What if I complete the prerequisites but can't join the 2027 Teacher cohort?
Your completed Student Workshops and Practitioner Path remain part of your School record. You may apply for a future Teacher cohort when the timing is right.

What if I have to miss part of the Teacher cohort?
Life happens. Students are expected to prioritize the cohort calendar, but an occasional absence does not necessarily prevent completion. Missed requirements must be made up. If you already know you will miss a significant portion of the cohort, please reach out before enrolling.
